Trump Orders Pause On Aid To Ukraine After Oval Office Clash With Zelenskyy

World leaders were caught off guard by the move as senior British officials were unaware of Trump’s plan.

WASHINGTON (Fwrd Axis) — The Trump administration has ordered a pause to all U.S. military aid to Ukraine, just days after U.S. President Donald Trump’s chaotic Oval Office meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“The President has been clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well,” a White House official said Monday. “We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution.”

World leaders were caught off guard by the move as senior British officials were unaware of Trump’s plan. U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer hosted Zelenskyy and other European leaders over the weekend.

The move by the Trump administration comes after an explosive meeting in the Oval Office on Friday, when Trump and Vice President JD Vance told Zelenskyy that he hadn’t shown enough gratitude to the U.S. for the aid given.

However, that’s not true. In fact, Zelenskyy has thanked the United States as well as the American people a total of 33 times, including during an address to a joint session of Congress.

After the meeting, Trump said in a post on Truth Social that Zelenskyy “disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office”.

Vance did an interview with Fox News on Monday, telling Sean Hannity that “the Russians are going to have to give up stuff. The Ukrainians are going to have to give up stuff.”

Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are discussing making temporary ceasefire proposal to present to Trump later in the week.

Trump has lied prior to the meeting that Ukraine was responsible for Russia’s invasion He also labeled Zelenskyy a “dictator,” after Zelenskyy suggested that Trump was being influenced by Russian disinformation.

Zelenskyy said Sunday that he is still willing to sign a deal that would allow the U.S. access to Ukraine’s rare-earth minerals.
