Chris Daughtry Reflects On Working With Slash & Details Past ‘American Idol’ Experience

Chris Daughtry stopped by the New & Approved series to speak with his close friend and host Matt Pinfield.

Daughtry currently has his new single “Heavy Is The Crown” which he explains as the aspiration for everyone to be the kings and queens of their own domains and acknowledge the heavy responsibility over morals and your own life.

As Chris details his new musical journey as an independent artist, the “Home” singer shares with Matt his excitement for his band’s forthcoming project which was an opportunity to create the music he sees fit and what fans would appreciate.

The former American Idol alum reflects on his introduction into the music industry through the popular reality television competition show and shares how his experience was something he doesn’t quite believe actually happened to him, as he came from small beginnings.

Chris also goes on to speak with Pinfield about working the legendary Slash on their “What I Want” collaboration and much more.
