(Fwrd Axis) — Big Brother continued on Thursday night with the Festie Besties twist ending and Daniel finally getting booted from the house, setting up an epic battle of endurance.

The episode kicked off following the veto meeting. Daniel is confident after correctly identifying all the members of the Leftovers alliance that are working together — including Kyle — despite not knowing the alliance name. In one last-ditch effort to save himself, he tries to turn Alyssa against Kyle by planting seeds of doubt in her mind about her relationship with him.

While the edit appears to show Daniel succeeding, Alyssa was never going to truly vote out her showmance. However, she did join Terrance and Jasmine to try and save Daniel prior to the veto being used. Meanwhile, Daniel attempts to try and get Joseph to vote out Kyle while Michael is, while Terrance and Jasmine remind him how close Michael, Monte, and Taylor are. All while not knowing that Joseph is working with Monte and Taylor.

Host Julie Chen Moonves returned to get the eviction proceedings started. Daniel gave an eviction speech channeling his inner Dr. Will (but there’s only one Dr. Will, sorry Daniel) while Kyle just said he’s had a fun summer and asked his housemates to keep him.

After the houseguests voted, Julie announced Daniel had been evicted on an 8-1 vote with Terrance being the lone vote to send Kyle home. After his eviction, Daniel spoke to Julie about his time in the house and admitted it was a game after being played by the Leftovers.

Michael and Taylor’s goodbye messages confirmed the majority of the house were not upset to see Daniel go.

Julie informed the house that the Festie Bestie twist was over, meaning they were all now playing on their own. It was then time for a conspiracy theorist-themed wall HOH competition. As the credits rolled, Jasmine was the first to fall while Brittany looked shaky at best.

Before the show ended, Julie informed the viewers that another twist is in store which will divide the house down the middle with two games of Big Brother being played simultaneously, leading up to a big double eviction on August 25.

Big Brother continues Sunday night at 8/7c on CBS and streams on Paramount+.
