Rick Nielsen Says Working w/ John Lennon Was Better Than Playing w/ Elvis + New Cheap Trick Album

Cheap Trick’s lead guitarist Rick Nielsen stops by the virtual KLOS New & Approved series to reflect on his career and a current project with host Matt Pinfield.

As Nielsen shares past antidotes of his early tour life overseas, and speaking on artists that Cheap Trick has had an influence on, Rick reveals that his opportunity to work with the late John Lennon was “better than playing with Elvis”.

The guitarist reflects on this moment as having made a great impact on his life and also shares details about his “Give Me Some Truth” cover.

Rick goes on to talk about his family life and how his children did not grow up paying much attention to his known talent and status and also discusses Cheap Trick’s current single “Light Up The Fire” from their ‘In Another World’ project.
